The Price of Democracy

Edita Burgos had to suffer loss twice. The first time was in 1982 when her husband Joe Burgos Jr., a press freedom fighter, was inacarcerated by the Marcos Regime for allegedly conspiring in a terrorist plot against the regime.
The second was when Jonas Burgos, her son was abducted by several men inside a busy mall in Quezon City last April 28,2007. While the military vehemently denies having custody of Jonas, the plate number of the getaway car used in his abduction was later traced to a vehicle impounded inside the 56th IB camp in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
