Hide and Seek

Romulo "Mulong" Robiños , 24 years old, youngest in the brood of 3, and a father of two, was abducted by armed men from his house in Angeles, Pampanga, on November 17, 2006. A writ of habeas corpus was filed by the family, but was dismissed. A writ of amparo has been filed by his sister Leny, and his mother, Lolita. This was recently granted by the Court of Appeals. The writ of amparo is an order issued by a court to protect the constitutional rights of a person. The word "amparo" comes from the Spanish verb "amparar," meaning "to protect." It denies authorities the defense of denial, requires them to take decisive action, and demands accountability from them.
With the writ of amparo, the search for Mulong enters a new phase.
